The Perfect Margarita
Print RecipeThe tried and true fail-proof margarita recipe is here. We guarantee no drink will be left in any glass and your guests will come back for more! Here is how to make a margarita: We definitely recommend using a good quality Tequila to avoid next-day headaches. There are also many options for orange liquor, we usually use Cointreau or Citronge. Finally for syrup, you can go for agave or sugar cane syrup or also just make your own by diluting granulated sugar in boiling water (1 cup sugar + 1 cup water) and of course you can adjust the syrup quantity to your preference. Salud!

Ingredients
- 3/4 oz Lime Juice
- 3/4 oz Tequila
- 1/2 oz Orange Liquor
- 1/2 Syrup
Instructions
-
For this recipe, you will need a good shaker and strainer, ice and salt or spices for the glass rim. Start by prepping the glasses. Just run a slice of lime around the rim and dip the glass into salt, sugar or a spicy mixture (tajin is a great alternative to salt).
-
Cut Limes into halves and juice them into a pouring container. We recommend pressing the juice a little ahead of time so you can quickly make more drinks without the hassle of juicing limes as you go. You can prep the juice same day and refrigerate until needed.
-
Add ice to the shaker followed by the lime juice, tequila, syrup and orange liquor. Shake vigorously for a good minute.
-
Add the strainer to the shaker and pour the drink into the glasses. Cheer immediately & enjoy!
